It is often said that necessity is the mother of invention, and in the case of the Lice Treatment Center, this could not be more true. When faced with an outbreak of head lice that seemed impossible to cure, Elizabeth Solovay and Dr. Elin Cohen, mothers with seven children between them, put their Ivy-educated heads together and the Lice Treatment Center was born.
Dr. Elin Cohen is a board certified Pediatrician who has extensively researched and developed a safe and comprehensive method for treating head lice. Approaching the problem as both a mother of two, and a professional, she appreciates the concern that the product be not only effective but also gentle and non-toxic. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Cohen did her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and completed a fellowship at Yale University. She has been practicing pediatrics for over ten years.
Dr. Cohen has developed all the Bon Cheveaux products made exclusively for the Lice Treatment Center.
Elizabeth Solovay has a degree in Organization and Management from Yale University. Liz is a mother of five children ranging in ages from 2 to 16. She is an avid sportswoman: she is both a nationally ranked squash player and a marathon runner.
Before moving to Fairfield County, Liz had a successful career in Manhattan real estate. Although her real estate was both competitive and demanding, it is nothing compared to managing five children and establishing The Lice Treatment Center.
Since it’s inception in 2007, the Lice Treatment Center has helped over 1000 families in the Tri-State area and New England. In addition to the natural product line, the Lice Treatment Center offers complete lice removal service including in-home consultation and lice removal by their professional team of nit-pickers.
Lice Treatment Center has also worked on site and consulted with many schools and camps. You can really count on the Lice Treatment Center to solve all of your lice problems.
